As a UI/UX Specialist Expert

As a UI/UX Specialist Expert, I was brought on board to consult on a Cyber Security Product MVP already in progress. Upon analyzing the project, I identified the need for more attention to the user experience. To address this, I taught my team Design Thinking and created a modern, documented agile methodology focused on building a team process while maintaining ongoing ideation. Using my experience in leading and mentoring teams, I was able to steer the team away from established bad practices and implement an effective agile process by applying my design methodology and LEAN process to validate the project's viability.

I used a cloud-based prototyping application to build a method for gathering user requirements, story mapping, and designing to achieve these goals. I mentored the product, development, and data teams through requirements gathering and story mapping, which led to the successful establishment of an MVP with a timeline for deliverables. I also created an agile methodology for designing and managing backlog tasks and timelines for deliverables, which further helped the team to stay focused on the MVP goal.

Finally, with the team's focus on the MVP goal, we could iterate through the design and validate internally before testing users with moderated user testing. I built a robust design system and designed low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes. I also conducted user testing in moderated focus groups. Through my leadership in implementing Design Thinking and Agile Methodologies, I guided the team toward providing a better user experience for the MVP. My ability to mentor and lead cross-functional teams while applying my design methodology and the agile process is an asset that I can bring to any design manager role.
